LINE SPECTRA is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2006 from Montreal. The band is Diana Lalla on guitars and bass pedalboard, Vanessa Morelli on vocals, keyboard and synthesizer and Kathy Perlini on drums, glockenspiel and percussion.

History

Line Spectra released their first self-titled EP in 2007, recorded with 3-time Juno award nominee Joe Barrucco. The single "False Alarm" received regular airplay on K103.7.
In January 2010, LINE SPECTRA released their first full-length album Maps & Directions. The album was recorded at Mountain City Studios with Juno award winner Joseph Donovan (Sam Roberts, The Dears) and mastered by Noah Mintz (Broken Social Scene, Arkells) at Laquer Channel Mastering.
The first single "Choosing Sides" is on regular rotation on CBC Radio 3.
The second single "City Stars" was featured on episode 28 of season 10 of Degrassi

The band reached No. 10 on the Best of Pop chart on OurStage.com in 2011, with three songs in the top 10 Indie Pop and Alternative charts in 2010

Videos

In March 2011 Line Spectra released the video for City Stars in both French and English. The video is currently featured on the FASHION (magazine) website 'Music Videos We Love' section.

Appearances

Line Spectra performed at 2011's Canadian Music Fest during Toronto's Canadian Music Week.
The band was also interviewed on CTV News' 'What's On' with Christine Long in 2010.
