History

Line Corporation was founded on September 4, 2000, as Hangame Japan Corporation, a South Korean game company owned by Naver. On August 24, 2003, the company was renamed as NHN Japan Corporation. From April 1, 2013, the company is traded as Line Corporation.

Line

Line is a smartphone PC and Mac app which allows users to make calls and messaging with other Line users, both nationally and internationally. The service was launched in June 2011, and it is being used in 230 countries around the world.
