In 2001, the school was found to be on unstable foundations and the occupants of the school were moved to portable classrooms while a new school was being developed on the site. The new school building was opened in 2004. In 2010, the construction of a new wing began to support the growing number of students both enrolled and enrolling. This building, which was funding through Kevin Rudd's Building the Education Revolution, opened in 2011.
