Legnava - The Carpathian Connection

Village History

The village had been established by 1366, when King Ludovit I gave a wooded territory between villages Starina, Orlov, Andrejovka and the river Poprad to nobleman Jakub. The village is first mentioned in 1427 and at that time village was the possession of the Brezovica lordship.

A chapel built by Tomáš Szirmay (1760) is located 1 km from the village.
