Latua pubiflora (Palo de los brujos) is the sole representative of the monotypic endemic plant genus Latua native to Chile, where it prefers wet habitats in southern coastal mountains. Latua pubiflora produces four tropane alkaloids: scopolamine, hyoscyamine, apoatropine and 3α-cinnamoyloxitropane, giving it deliriant properties.
