Last Triumph is an independent record label, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The label was co-founded by JR Hadaway and Nick Morris. It also became the world's first B Corporation certified record label in November 2014.

Contents

It is the host of “The Take Off Tour”, which first started in 2011. The tour is held as part of the South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW), showcasing acts from Last Triumph records. The label's roster of artists has their records and tapes distributed via independent record stores in the United States and also in a digital format.

Company history

In 2012, Last Triumph & Jam Live Music Arcade announced The Take Off Tour 2012, the second event of its kind. The tour performed The tour performed over four nights in route to and three locations in Texas. Music by artists on Last Triumph records also appeared on the Xbox 360 and PS3 game, Jam Live Music Arcade.

The 2013 tour continued to grow in size. Around the same time, Last Triumph's head engineer, JR recorded songs by Van Stee who performed live on 89.3 The Current. The label founder was credited for his engineering works on Timotha Lanae's album "Red" in 2013.

In 2014, the record label was responsible for the launch Createch Studio, based in Arlington Hills area of Saint Paul, Minnesota. It was founded as a community recording studio with the city of Saint Paul, Minnesota to allow young people in the Arlington Hills community to schedule studio time to create and record music. Partnering with the MacArthur Foundation, they received a $100,000 grant for the project. During the same year, music produced by the label featured on Oxygen TV.

In late 2014, the label became the world's first B Corporation certified record label.

The jamstik+ was launched on Kickstarter at The Take Off Tour 2015 during SXSW, hosted by Last Triumph. The jamstick+ is a portable digital guitar that connects to MIDI software on Apple and PC devices to teach guitar with interactive lesson apps and is also used to record and create music with, with Last Triumph partnering with the creators since its launch. The device's Kickstarter crowd funding goal of $50,000 was quickly surpassed, reaching over $800,000 in funding.

Last Triumph announced that they would again be hosting The Take Off Tour at SXSW.
