History
Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, Bhopal, is from one of the first private engineering colleges group in Madhya Pradesh. The governments of India and Madhya Pradesh jointly sponsored the then LNCT (a private engineering college) in 1994 to attract bright young students from across the country. It was founded by the Kalchuri Contractors Ltd. The college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal.
In 2004 the Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, Indore (LNCT, Indore) was established as the constituent college of LNCTS. In its short span of years the institute has developed into a leading engineering and professional college of the region with state-of-the-art infrastructure, faculty and facilities. The student Performance in University Exams has been good since inception and placement of its student in reputed national /Multi-national industries and universities is having excellent track record.
Admissions
For the undergraduate courses, the admission is through the national-level engineering entrance examination: AIEEE and MPPET. For the postgraduate courses, the entry is through GATE for MTech, NIMCET for MCA or through an institute-conducted entrance test.

Student life
LNCT has students from all parts of India. Student life revolves around the college campus and hostels. The hostels have round-the-clock net connectivity, electricity, water, security, canteen and other facilities for students. Hostel have a caretaker, an assistant warden and a warden. A chief warden is head of all hostels and the post is held by a senior professor.
