Kuzey Güney is a Turkish television drama series. The scenarists are Ece Yörenç and Melek Gençoğlu. The series stars Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ as Kuzey Tekinoğlu, a tough and rebellious son of an Istanbul baker, who comes back from prison four years after he confesses to a crime his brother, Güney, (Buğra Gülsoy) committed.

The series was broadcast on channel Kanal D in Turkey and produced by Ay Yapım. It premiered on September 7, 2011 and was among Turkey's four most popular TV shows, after Muhteşem Yüzyıl, Adını Feriha Koydum, Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki and Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? being the most successful one (which is also written by the creators of Kuzey Güney). Kuzey Güney aired on Wednesday at 8 pm (EEST, UTC+03:00) on Kanal D and from episode 61 onwards at 10 pm (EEST). The final episode was aired on 26 June 2013, after 80 episodes and 2 seasons.This Series also Telecasted in Pakistan on Urdu 1 with great TRPs in Urdu dubbed .Also broadcast in Indian Television dubbed in Hindi.

Plot

Kuzey Güney is a story of two brothers who fall for the same girl. Kuzey is bold, fearless, and spontaneous. Güney is the exact opposite of Kuzey. He's calm, patient, doesn't act without thinking, and is great in school. The only thing this brothers have in common is their love for Cemre. Cemre is a girl who moved recently to their neighborhood. Kuzey falls in love with Cemre but he didn't know that Güney and Cemre are in love with each other. When Güney and Cemre get together and they are kissing each other, Kuzey is left devastated. A car accident, involving the brothers, takes place where a man is killed. Although Güney was driving the car, Kuzey takes the blame because he didn't want his brother who is a good student go to jail. Kuzey goes to prison for 4 years.

The series starts 4 years later, where Kuzey has been released from prison and comes back to his family and life again. But he soon understands that nothing will be the same as the good old times.
