Kuu Kuu Harajuku (originally titled KooKoo Harajuku) is an animatedchildren's television series created by Gwen Stefani for Network Ten, based on her Harajuku Lovers brand. The series debuted on Eleven in Australia on November 1, 2015. Kuu Kuu Harajuku is produced by Title Entertainment Inc. and DHX Media in Canada, Vision Animation in Malaysia, Moody Street Productions in Australia, and Red Flags Fly in the United States. Season 2 of the series is currently in production, and season 3 is in pre-production.

Plot
Kuu Kuu Harajuku features G and the Harajuku Girls as they live in Harajuku. They form a band together, HJ5, but something always interrupts their gigs.
Main characters
G (voiced by Maggie Chretien) is the leader of HJ5. She is fearless, confident, level-headed, and trustworthy. She keeps the HJ5 band together, and is not afraid to take on a challenge. Her real first name is "Gwen." She is based on Gwen Stefani, the creator of the series and the Harajuku Girls brand. Her representation colors are white, black, and aqua, and she represents bow ties. G has brown eyes, and blonde hair which is usually tied in two side buns and decorated with a black headband. G's default outfit is a ruffled white blouse with a black bow, a gray jacket with white flaps and folded cuffs, a blue skirt with white ruffles and a black bow, white stockings, blue and white stripped scrunched socks, and white and black Harajuku boots.
Love (voiced by Daisy Masterman) is the genius of HJ5. She is inventive, creative, intelligent, and diligent. She has a big knack for science, and comes up with inventions and scientific explanations for events, although sometimes her inventions go out of control. Her main representation color is red, and she represents hearts. Love has freckles, dark blue eyes, and black hair which is usually curly and decorated with four red hearts, a light pink heart, and a blue headband. Love's default outfit is a light gray top with a yellow trim, pink "L" and red folded cuffs, with a white blouse and red necktie underneath, a gray plaid skirt with white ruffles, red and white knee pads, red and white stripped socks, and white and red Harajuku boots.
Angel (voiced by Emma Taylor-Isherwood) is the resident fashionista of HJ5. She is trendy, bubbly, cheerful, and stylish. She adores cute fashions, trends, and styles. She is also a cheerleader, and she can also cheer up people by making jokes. Her representation colors are yellow and blue, and she represents stars. Angel has light orange eyes, and brown hair which is usually parted in four braids decorated with eight yellow stars, and a yellow hachimaki with blue polka dots and a star. Angel's default outfit is a light gray top with a yellow trim, blue "A" and blue folded cuffs, with a white blouse and blue necktie underneath, a gray plaid skirt with white ruffles, yellow knee pads, blue and white stripped socks, and blue and white Harajuku sneakers.
Music (voiced by Sally Taylor-Isherwood) is the most active of HJ5. She is sassy, sarcastic, gutsy, and genuine. She brings a fierce attitude to the band. She is good at dancing and singing, but when trouble comes, she will fight and defend or protect her friends. Her representation color is purple, and she represents musical notes. Music has violet eyes, and brunette hair which is usually tied in two buns decorated with a white kanzashi with a musical note on the right tip and a treble clef on the left tip. Music's default outfit is a light gray top with a yellow trim, white "M" and purple folded cuffs, with a white blouse and purple necktie underneath, a gray plaid skirt with white ruffles, purple knee pads, purple and white stripped socks, and dark purple and white Harajuku sneakers.
Baby (voiced by Charlotte Nicdao) is the youngest member of HJ5. She is sweet, cute, adorable and carefree. She has a childlike and innocent demeanor, and sees cute in anything; she loves everything cute, especially in animal, creatures, and food, and often fantasizes about them. She also loves to give hugs. Her representation color is light pink, and she represents cuteness. Baby has blue eyes, and black hair which is usually curly and decorated with two light pink bows on each side. Baby's default outfit is a light gray top with a yellow trim, yellow "B" and pink folded cuffs, with a white blouse and pink necktie underneath, a gray plaid skirt with white ruffles, pink and yellow knee pads, light pink and white stripped socks, and white and pink Harajuku boots.
Rudolph "Rudie" Rhodes (voiced by Danny Smith) is the manager of HJ5. He is quite naïve, hyper, overexaggerating, clumsy, and gullible. While this tends to get the girls and himself in trouble, he really cares about them and their safety. He usually talks about getting the girls a gig somewhere, but it doesn't often go as planned. Rudie has green eyes, and short brown hair. He usually wears checkered-themed clothes. His default outfit is a gray matching business suit with a white blouse and black necktie underneath, and black dress loafers worn with black and white checkered socks. He also wears a black fedora with a black and white checkered hat tie, and black glasses.
