Kristine Weitz (born June 3, 1970) known by the stage name of Kristine W, is an American Dance, Electronica & Jazz singer-songwriter. Currently Kristine W has 16 billboard dance hits. Billboard named Kristine W one of the top 3 Dance Artists of the Decade behind Madonna and Beyonce. In December of 2016 Kristine W was named by Billboard Magazine's 8th Greatest Dance Music Artist of all Time behind such greats as Donna Summer, Madonna and Rihanna. She has released ten albums and 23 singles to date. In 2004, The Advocate stated that she had helped shape the nightlife of the past decade. Her first 8 singles all reached #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play charts which set a new record. As of 2009, 14 of 15 singles had reached the top of the Billboard dance charts. In December 2016, Billboard magazine ranked her as the 8th Greatest Dance Artist of all-time.

Biography

She's won countless awards for live show performer, best live band and performed more shows than Elvis with her 18 piece production show called "Kristine W Come See the Music" With the successes of her Land of the Living and Stronger albums she has been continously touring.
Land of the Living and Stronger

After the release of her first single, which became very popular in overseas dance clubs, there was a bidding war by the major labels to sign Kristine W. Weitz wrote and produced her albums Land of the Living (1996) and Stronger (2000). The Advocate called Land of the Living "impressive" and stated that she has an "intensity" like no other woman while Spin called it "one of the most artful song-oriented dance albums in years." Her current album New and Number Ones has kept the dance floors alive and in the "Land of the Living" since its release in 2012. It's packed with dance floor anthems like "Everything That I Got", a collaboration between Bimbo Jones (UK) and Kristine W. Kristine W's current single "Out There" continues to pack the dance floors globally and her new single "Stars" just bubbled over in the British Dance Music underground with a stellar production by London's star producer Freejak.
