Krishna Praba, previously better known to the print media as Krishna Prabha is an Indian film actress and professional dancer trained in classical and cinematic traditions who chiefly appears in Malayalam movies. She made her entry into film industry in the film Madampi (2008) directed by the eminent Malayalam movie director B. Unnikrishnan. She played the character Mollykutty in Life of Josutty (2015) directed by Jeethu Joseph which received good reports. Krishna Praba is a recipient of the Jaycey Daniel Foundation Awards for the best female comedy actress in 2009. She has also appeared in the mini screen.

Early life
Krishna Praba was born in 1987 at sudheendra hospital in Ernakulam district to late Cr Prabhakaran Nair a former mechanical engineer at Kalamassery HMT and Sheela Prabhakaran Nair. Krishna completed her primary education from Saint Joseph Kalamassery and obtained Higher Secondary Education in humanities at Thevara Sacred Heart’s college Kochi. Krishna Praba whose early influences included Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, Nadakam and Margam kali, received Diploma certificate in Bharatanatyam from Alliance University Bangalore. Krishna Praba got training in classical dance under the mentorship of Kalamandalam Sugandhi, her first dance teacher, at the age of 3. She currently receives training in classical dance from RLV Pradeep Kumar.
Career
Krisha Praba displayed an innate passion for dance, film and Music from her childhood. She received quite a few accolades at state level youth festival competition. Her career as professional dancer which spans over 1000 stage shows has had her performing live stage shows in countries such as USA, UAE and European countries. Krishna Praba joined Manoj Guinness’s Cochin Navodaya troop as a dancer. She collaborated with Sajan Palluruthy and Prajodh for ‘comedy show’ a program on Asianet TV channel. After her debut in B Unnikrishnan’s movie, Krishna Praba grew in stature in the Malayalam movie industry by playing different characters in a series of well received films, most notably in Natholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla (2013) and Life of Josutty (2015). In 2014 Krishna Praba commented that she felt privileged to be compared to Sukumari after many celebrities including Kavya Madhavan and Ramesh Pisharody pointed out the similarities between the character Krishna played in ‘She Taxi’ and Sukumari’s character in Boeing Boeing.
Personal life
Krishna Praba is an actress and dancer whose interests span a wide range of topics. When not working, Krishna Praba spends most of her time reading literature and listening to music. The young actress is reported to have expressed her fondness for travelling to different locations in the course of film shooting. The actress is currently single and is focused on furthering her movie career.
