Kirensky District (Russian: Киренский райо́н) is an administrative district, one of the thirty-three in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. Municipally, it is incorporated as Kirensky Municipal District. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 43,800 square kilometers (16,900 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Kirensk. Population: 20,322 (2010 Census); 23,830 (2002 Census); 29,280 (1989 Census).
