Kathryn Elizabeth Bouse Le Veque Hogan is an American USA Today bestselling independent author of Historical Romance fiction novels. She is the author of over 60 historical romance novels, as well as ten contemporary romance novels. She is most known for writing The Dark One: Dark Knight, Rise of the Defender, The Wolfe, The Savage Curtain, and Island of Glass.

Early life and education
Le Veque was born in 1964 in Glendale and was raised in Pasadena, California. She attended University of Southern California. She started writing as a hobby when she was thirteen.
Career
She continued writing through high school, college and while working full-time. Since she was 28, she was rejected by traditional publishers. She uploaded her first article on Amazon in May 2012 when she was 48. A year later, she quit her day job as an executive assistant.
In October 2014, she was the 31st Most Read author on Amazon. Her book, With Dreams Only of You was a USAToday bestselling book in July 2015.
