Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupaadu (Tamil: கடமை கண்ணியம் கட்டுப்பாடு / English : Duty, Discipline, Control) is a 1987 Tamil language Indian feature film directed by Santhana Bharathi for producer Kamal Haasan, starring Sathyaraj, Geetha and Captain Raju in lead roles.The film had no songs and it ran for 100 days in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu making it a box office hit. Sathyaraj proved his versatility acting as a serious police officer and did justice to his role. The film was produced by Kamal Haasan, who did not act in the film. The film is a remake of 1986 Malayalam film Aavanazhi.

Plot

The narrative of the film centers on the experiences of an upright and candid police officer from Tamil Nadu. The plot is inspired by the Malayalam movie "Aavanazhi," directed by I. V. Sasi. Ilaiyaraaja composed the music for this film.
