Judith Ann Bense is an American academic and the current President of the University of West Florida.[1] She is also the chairwoman of the Florida Historical Commission, and was the former executive director of anthropology and archaeology at UWF before she was promoted to university president.

Education
Bense graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology in 1967. She then went on to receive her Master's in Anthropology from this institution as well in 1969. Later, Bense went on to receive her Ph.D. in Anthropology from Washington State University in 1972.
