John A. Kowalko, Jr. (born September 17, 1945 in Portsmouth, Virginia) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives since January 9, 2007 representing District 25.

Elections

  • 2012 Kowalko was unopposed for both the September 11, 2012 Democratic Primary and the November 6, 2012 General election, winning with 7,384 votes.
  • 2004 Kowalko was unopposed for the September 11, 2004 Democratic Primary and but lost the November 2, 2004 General election to incumbent Republican Representative Stephanie Ulbrich, who had held the seat since 1995.
  • 2006 Kowalko and Ulbrich were both unopposed for their September 12, 2006 primaries, setting up a rematch; Kowalko won the November 7, 2006 General election with 2,473 votes (52.0%).
  • 2008 Kowalko was unopposed for the September 9, 2008 Democratic Primary and won the November 4, 2008 General election with 5,008 votes (73.4%) against Republican nominee James Gates.
  • 2010 Kowalko was unopposed for the September 17, 2010 Democratic Primary and won the November 2, 2010 General election with 3,402 votes (65.5%) against Republican nominee Gordon Winegar.
  • 2014 Kowalko was unopposed and won 100% of the vote. Democratic House majority leader Peter Schwartzkopf however made him lose his seat on several committees for being an "activist".
