Jhanjh Lobongo Phool (Bengali: ঝাঁঝ লবঙ্গ ফুল); is a Bengali television soap opera that premiered on June 20, 2016 and airs on Star Jalsha. Produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, it stars Ishaa Saha and Rajdeep Gupta in lead roles and Swagata Mukherjee, Anuradha Roy, Kaushiki Guha, Biplab Banerjee and Ratna Ghoshal in pivotal roles. It replaced the popular show Bojhena Se Bojhena.

Plot summary

Jhanjh Lobongo Phool is a story of a girl named Lobongo, whose passion is cooking and how she establishes herself as a great business woman in the hotel industry of Kolkata. Lobongo is a very shy but happy go lucky girl living with her family in Sorshefuli village. Lobongo is very much popular for her cooking skills and everyone takes help from her in cooking. One day Lobongo’s grandmother, Sarajubala, receives a letter from her friend Annada, who promised Sarajubala, that her grand daughter will one day get married to Neel, Annada’s grandson. Annada’s sister in law, Indrani, is a high class business woman, runs hotel Victoria Palace, a five star hotel. Both Indrani and Neel are very modern and reject Annada’s decision. But finally Indrani goes to Sorshefuli to meet Lobongo. She went there to cancel the marriage but very much impressed with Lobongo’s cooking skills, Indrani changes her mind and plans to make Lobongo her daughter in law but actually as a cook for her hotel. One day Lobongo comes to know the truth and promises that she will be more successful than Indrani and will give an answer for why she was cheated.
