Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin (born 15 February 1972, Burutu, Delta State, Nigeria) is the founder and head Prophet of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM), Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. He founded the church on 3 April 2010.

Early life and family

Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin was born in Burutu, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria on 15 February 1972. He had his primary school education at Zuokunor Primary School in Burutu L.G.A of Delta State between 1981 and 1986. His secondary education was at Gbesa Grammar School Ojobo, between 1986–1992.

He is married to Anthonia Fufeyin and they have four children: Harriet, Kindness, Goodness and Happiness. He was born in a polygamous home and is the 22 child out of the 36 children sired by his father, late Livingson Stevenson Toboukeyei Fufeyin and Asetu.
Career

In his early career, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin was actively involved in the film exhibition business and toured both Delta and Bayelsa States respectively, using projectors to show films as a means of entertainment in various communities. He was also an amateur wrestler in his community and the neighbouring towns and won several local contests.
Fufeyin also ran a mini super market and patent medicine store. He was also instrumental to the coming of GSM to his riverine community, when it was first launched in Nigeria. He equally pioneered the use of motorcycles as a means of transportation in his local government area.
Before setting up his church, he was a member with Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. His church, Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, which began as a morning devotional worship centre in 2010, has over fifteen thousand members and is still growing.
Philanthropy
Since setting up his church six years ago, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin has been deeply involved in philanthropic works through his church. He regularly donates cash and food items to orphans, widows and the less privileged in his church and neighbouring communities.
Criticism and controversy
Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin has been criticised for his loud acts of charity, very public and showy focus on demons and "deliverance".
