Jeffrey Staron (born September 12, 1981) is an American actor, singer-songwriter and musician. He has been a co-star on several prime-time dramas including Heroes, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Ugly Betty, and CSI: Miami.

Early life

Staron is originally from the Cleveland suburb of Richmond Heights, Ohio. He attended Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio where he was an active member of the school's theatre groups and musical programs. Known primarily for his outstanding talent on the trumpet, Staron picked up the guitar in early college and found some success in Buffalo, NY and Kent, OH, being booked by several coffee shops and small clubs in those areas. Staron attended both Canisius College, where he acted in many live-stage performances, and Kent State University, where he honed his film acting skills, studying under Rohn Thomas and Clyde Simon.

Career

Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Staron starred in roles for several film-school projects. These parts eventually landed him several prime-time opportunities in the major network television shows Notes from the Underbelly, Life, Cold Case, Ugly Betty, Without a Trace, Heroes, and CSI: Miami. He has also starred in a minor role for the 2009 film Endless Bummer and in the 2011 film In Time.

Personal life

Jeff currently resides in North Hollywood, CA with his cat. He enjoys playing guitar and trumpet, and is an adept sleight-of-hand magician. One of his favorite hobbies is table tennis.
