Career
After attending undergraduate school, Jeff worked for Kenneth Fisher of Fisher Investments as a wealth management financial trading analyst, managing accounts for high-net worth individuals and Fortune 500 pension funds. After the Global Financial Crisis of 2008-2009 Jeff left the wealth management sector to pursue film finance and production accounting at ImageMovers Digital, an animation studio in Novato, California. He worked as the lead production accountant on Walt Disney Pictures' Christmas Carol, an American 3D computer animated motion-capture fantasy film written and directed by Robert Zemeckis.
Shortly after Christmas Carol was released, Jeff moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a production finance career at Digital Domain. Jeff worked on a variety of visual effects productions, actively managing large productions at Walt Disney Studios, Fox Studios and Warner Brothers Studios. In 2011, Jeff was recruited as a senior production accountant at Sony Pictures Imageworks, the visual effects division of Sony Pictures Entertainment. From 2011–14, Jeff managed the visual effects production budgets of the Sony Pictures Entertainment's largest films: The Amazing Spider-Man franchise and the Men In Black franchise.
In 2014, Jeff was promoted to Manager of Production Accountant at Sony Pictures Animation. In this position, Jeff managed a team of production accountants and oversaw the development and production of original animated feature films. One year later, Jeff was promoted to Director of Production Finance at Sony Pictures Animation.
Currently, Jeff is responsible for managing all development and production budgets for Sony Pictures Animation feature titles, alternative content and direct-to-video titles.
Education
Jeff attended the University of Colorado, Boulder from 2004-2008 where he obtained a bachelors of business administration with an emphasis in finance.
While pursuing his career at Sony Pictures Animation, Jeff obtained a Masters in Business Administration at Pepperdine University's George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management. Jeff's outstanding performance awarded him the 7th Annual George Graziadio Award for Student of the Year. Jeff graduated from Pepperdine University with a Summa Cum Laude designation with a 3.9 out of 4.0 grade point average. With this designation, Jeff was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.
