Jarmundi, the eponymous CD Block headquarters, is located at 24°23′31″N 87°3′23″E.
Demographics
As per 2011 Census of India Jarmundi CD Block had a total population of 168,163, all of which were rural. There were 84,341 (50%) males and 82,822 (50%) females. Scheduled Castes numbered 11,688 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 44,796. Population below 6 years was 29,973.
Hindi and Santali are languages spoken in the region.
