Djalaluddin Airport is an airport in Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo, Indonesia (IATA: GTO, ICAO: WAMG). It is located 30 km in west of Gorontalo's city center and it is operated by Ministry of Transportation of Indonesia Republic. The new terminal which has 2 aerobridge was opened on 1 May 2016. This airport is the alternative gateway for flights to the northern part of Indonesia. This Airport named after Djalaluddin Tantu, a Colonel Pilot from Gorontalo, who has died in "Dwikora Operation" in 1964 in Malaysia. He was lost with the Hercules aircraft.

History and Old Terminal
Aircraft landing for the first time in the Gorontalo in 1955 by aircraft type: ALBATROS in Iluta, Batuda'a District, Gorontalo Regency in order to review the implementation of the development work in the village by the Directorate of Public Works. At that time for the purposes of Military Transport in unifying and maintaining the territorial integrity of Republic of Indonesia. Furthermore, in line with the completion of construction of "Tolotio Airport" pioneering work, then in 1956 the aircraft DC-3 Dakota landed in the Airport (hardening of the base construction).
With a simple facility Tolotio original airport serves as a "Military Airport" and also as a Commercial Airport who managed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Changing the name of Tolotio Airport into Djalaluddin Airport occurred in 1974 based on the proposal of the Armed Forces faction in parliament of Gorontalo Regency. Djalaluddin name taken from the name of an Air Force Pilot, he is from the region of Gorontalo who is missing in Dwikora Operations in Malaysia.
New Terminal
The New Terminal of Djalaluddin Airport in Gorontalo has been completed, and also became as one of first class Airport in Eastern Indonesia besides Sam Ratulangi International Airport and Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. The Ministry of Transportation has finished developing the air side and land side of Djalaluddin Airport, Isimu, Gorontalo. Air side development is able to accommodate three similar planes of Boeing 737 Next Generation and two similar units of ATR. Djalaluddin Airport runway measuring 2,500 meters x 45 meters and will be extended to 3,000 meters x 400 meters in 2019. Complete with a parking area of the airport which was originally only an area of 3,902 m2 for 150 cars, increased to 46 411 m2 and can accommodate more than 1,000 cars.
The New Terminal building consisting of two (2) floors with an area of almost 12.000m2, can accommodate 2,500 passengers and replaces the old terminal building which is only enough for 250 passengers. The New Terminal building was built from 2013 to 2015 financed by APBN. The ground floor serves as a place to check in, drop off, baggage claim, as well as public and employee areas. While on the second floor, serves as a waiting room, and public areas and employees. Mosque which is located downstairs and upstairs, lactation rooms, escalator, lifts, toilets, wheelchair for passenger illness or disability. Also there are two medium-sized lounge and spacious, and the smoking room. Other facilities that have been prepared are x-ray as many as four units, three for passengers and one for freight. The Old Terminal will be used as a Regular Hajj Embarkation.

Incidents
On August 6, 2013 Lion Air Flight 897 struck a cow during landing. The aircraft slipped sideway onto the grass. Among 117 people on board, no one was injured.
