Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, better known by his stage name Jacquees, is an American singer-songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. Seeing the recognition as a solo artist, Jacquees also worked with artists, such as T.I., Travis Porter, Ty Dolla $ign, Rich Homie Quan, Young Thug, Trinidad James, Quavo, August Alsina and Chris Brown, among others. In 2014, Jacquees signed a recording & management contract with Cash Money Records.

Career

In 2007, Jacquees met a former manager Orlando Grind, and was later discovered by Johnathan Sims. He would be performing a variety of talent shows before he finally met Russell "Block" Spencer, who is a founder and then-CEO of Block Entertainment. Jacquees later worked in various different recording studios, however, he merely was blended with the team that did not offer him the opportunity to show his true talents. "When you see work being done around you but not for you, you tend to get discouraged", says Jacquees. Block’s focus was only rap music, not R&B. During the summer of 2009, where Block witness how talented Jacquees can be, before shifting his vision. Jacquees later began working closely at the Block Entertainment's recording studio, gaining some more exposure with a release of a track, called "Krazy" featuring T.I.

On March 25, 2014, Jacquees independently released his second EP, 19. The EP debuted at number 15 on the US Billboard Top R&B Albums. The 11-tracks EP features guest appearances from Chris Brown, Rich Homie Quan, Lloyd,and Trinidad James. On October 1, 2014, Jacquees announced that he signed a recording deal to Cash Money Records. In May 2016, he did a collaboration with a label-mate Birdman, on an EP, titled Lost at Sea. He has found recent mainstream success with his 2016 single "B.E.D.", charting so far at 75 on the Billboard Hot 100.
