Jabda is a small village in the Purba Medinipur district, West Bengal, India with 80 percent of the population dependent on agriculture.

Local businesses at Jabda are grain and paddy. There is one high school and four primary schools in the village. The largest fair of the village is Rath Mela. Mela is a ten-day event held in November. Cultural functions are held and singers, dancers and musicians come from all parts of the south-state to participate in the programs. The Rath Yatra Festival is celebrated to remember the love story of Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha, his glorious days that he spent in Brindyavan. The festival takes place every year. It presents various stalls of delicacies of papad, Jilipi, Goja, Satpuri and many other Bengali dishes. Thousands of people from various parts of the state come to attend the fair.
