Internet Killed Television (also known as CTFxC) is a web series hosted by Charles Trippy. The series featured Trippy's ex-wife Alli Speed. Speed was featured in the video blogs from May 1st 2009 - 7th April 2014. The series also include Zoey & Marley. Speed's dog 'Chico' was included in the video blogs for a short period of time. The video blogs now include Trippy's second wife Allie Wesenberg Trippy & her dog Diesel. Wesenberg Trippy made her first appearance in June 2014. The video blog follows daily events. Some events that have been documented in this series include Trippy's courtship, marriage, cancer battle, and divorce.
Contents
The series consists of vlogs averaging between 10-15 minutes that are filmed, edited, and then uploaded daily to Trippy's YouTube channel (CTFxC). It was originally planned to last for only one year. After four years, they entered Guinness World Records for the most consecutive daily video blogs posted on YouTube. As of May 1, 2016, Trippy completed seven years straight of daily vlogging without missing a single day and has continued into Year 8.
Production
Videos are generally shot with a Canon PowerShot ELPH 340 HS although he was switched to the Canon PowerShot G7X as of late November 2014. Charles occasionally films using a GoPro. Trippy has also used a Flip UltraHD camcorder, Canon ELPH model's Powershot D780IS, Powershot SD4500IS, ELPH Powershot 300 HS, ELPH Powershot 110 IS, ELPH Powershot 330 HS, and various versions of the iPhone. As of May 1, 2016, the CTFxC channel has 1,527,620 subscribers and 711,218,067 views.
Cast
Charles Paul Trippy III attended Lakewood Ranch High School and graduated from the University of South Florida. He started making videos on YouTube in May 2006. He has also taken part in other web series and ongoing vlog series such as: ShayTards, Prank House, Shoot the Banker, The Elevator Show, Retarded Policeman (Epidode 15), PrankvsPrank, YouTubers React, and The Annoying Orange, in which he plays a lemon in one episode and a potato in another. His father, Charles "Chaz" Trippy, played percussion in the Gregg Allman Band. In 2010, Trippy was nominated for a Teen Choice award. He was also the bassist in a band called Suspense Thriller. Since September 21, 2011, Trippy has been playing bass for the Florida-based band We The Kings, with whom he has been friends since childhood. On March 11, 2012 Trippy announced in a live show that he is now the permanent bassist of the band. On April 7, 2014, Trippy announced his separation with Alli Speed.
Allison "Alli" Rose Speed ceased her involvement with the CTFxC Channel upon the announcement of the couple's separation on April 7, 2014. She confirmed on April 22, 2014, that she would continue to upload content to YouTube on her personal channel.
Allie Marie Wesenberg Trippy is Trippy's wife. Charles and Allie got engaged on March 6th 2016, Charles shared photo on his Instagram account captioned with "She said yes" and got married on March 11th 2017.

In addition to the CTFxC channel, Trippy and Speed had created a number of other YouTube channels. The vlogging started on the channel Charles which was created on July 21, 2005 and discontinued on November 20, 2009. Soclcrisis was Trippy's second channel, created October 13, 2005. The last video uploaded to this channel was on August 5, 2008. The channel Trippy was created December 9, 2005, is where he posts short unedited videos shot on his iPhone. CharlesTrippy was created May 22, 2006, and is his skit channel. It has 865,733 subscribers as of December 23, 2015.
Alli is Alli Speed's personal channel which hosts make up tutorials, travel vlogs, a series 'Ask Alli' and the series Drunk Gaming, where she plays video games with her friends and family while intoxicated. Trippy and Speed's wedding proposal was included in the Huffington Post list of top 10 wedding proposals.
On Sunday, November 20, 2011, Trippy and Speed were married at the Powell Crosley Estate, Sarasota, Florida. The Twitter hashtag "#CTFxCWedding" was trending worldwide on this day as second most popular Trending Topic. This wedding appeared on many talk shows and news outlets, including Right This Minute.
In March 2012 Trippy was diagnosed with a benign Oligodendroglioma brain tumor after having a seizure at the end of February. After a successful resection of the tumor it recurred in September 2013 and was diagnosed as anaplastic oligodendroglioma brain cancer. In October 2013 Trippy started oral chemotherapy to combat the remaining 5% left after his second resection. The video of his second brain surgery received more than 2.3 million hits.
On April 7, 2014, Trippy posted a vlog stating that the couple would be separating. The post received 812,000 views by April 9, 2014. Charles and Alli's divorce was finalized on June 4, 2014.
