The 2010 United States Census reported that Indio Hills had a population of 972. The population density was 45.2 people per square mile (17.4/km²). The racial makeup of Indio Hills was 542 (55.8%) White, 6 (0.6%) African American, 15 (1.5%) Native American, 5 (0.5%) Asian, 1 (0.1%) Pacific Islander, 391 (40.2%) from other races, and 12 (1.2%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 657 persons (67.6%).
The Census reported that 972 people (100% of the population) lived in households, 0 (0%) lived in non-institutionalized group quarters, and 0 (0%) were institutionalized.
There were 304 households, out of which 117 (38.5%) had children under the age of 18 living in them, 160 (52.6%) were opposite-sex married couples living together, 18 (5.9%) had a female householder with no husband present, 37 (12.2%) had a male householder with no wife present.
