Hyala vitrea is a species of minute sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk or micromollusk in the family Iravadiidae.

Hyala vitrea used to be considered as a species of Onoba (Rissoidae). It is however made clear now that this species does not belong to the family Rissoidae but to Hyala in the family Iravadiidae.
Description
The shell size varies between 1 mm and 4 mm
Distribution
It is found in European waters, in the Mediterranean Sea and in the Black Sea.
Ecology
This species is a grazer and deposit feeder.
