"Hot Blooded" is a song by the British-American rock band Foreigner, from their second studio album Double Vision. It was released as a single in June 1978 and reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart that September. The single was also certified Platinum (one million units sold) by the Recording Industry Association of America.

  • Two episodes of The Simpsons used this song, first in a montage during "The Two Mrs. Nahasapeemapetilons" (using the actual song), and in "They Saved Lisa's Brain", where Homer performs a parody of the song while covered in popcorn kernels (singing "I'm hot buttered, I got a temperature of 453" before nearly passing out from heat exhaustion and then being attacked by chickens from a previous act performed by Barney) and using a blow dryer on himself at the talent show, being billed as "Homer Simpson and his Amazing Redenbacher Dreamcoat".
  • The song was remixed and used in the 2001 movie Osmosis Jones.
  • The song was featured in the 2007 King of Queens episode Mild Bunch, the leading character Doug Heffernan (played by Kevin James) sings along with the song.
  • The song was used in the 2007 movie In the Land of Women, early on in the movie when Paige sings the song as she and Lucy are driving.
  • It was used in the 2009 comedy-drama film Adventureland, during the scene in which Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg enter a bar.
  • It was featured in a Diet Pepsi commercial where a man wishes he had his old jeans back once again.
  • It was parodied in 2010 in The Office, when Ed Helms sings a version of the song with the lyrics "hot pizza."
  • Master recording was downloadable content for Guitar Hero World Tour.
  • The song was made available to download on May 23, 2011 for play in the Rock Band 3 music gaming platform in both Basic rhythm, and PRO mode which takes advantage of the use of a real guitar / bass guitar, along with support for standard MIDI-compatible electronic drum kits / keyboards in addition to vocals.
  • The song can be heard in the trailer of the movie Bullet to the Head when the character portrayed by Sung Kang asks Jimmy Bobo, portrayed by Sylvester Stallone, "You mind if we listen to something from this century?"
  • A parody of the song was used by Nestlé in a 2014 advertising campaign for their Hot Pockets sandwich products. The idea for the commercial was stolen without compensation from WRIF radio host Dave Hunter, who debuted his idea on the Detroit morning radio show Dave and Chuck "The Freak" in 2013.
  • Foreigner's version is heard in a 2016 TV commercial for CarMax.
  • The song is also featured in the second theatrical trailer for the 2016 animated film The Angry Birds Movie.
