The Honolulu Film Awards (HFA) are international film awards granted to independent films in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, United States. They are widely considered to be the most prestigious award for Hawaiian entertainers and filmmakers, often referred to as the equivalent of the Oscars and Emmy Awards in the United States, the BAFTA Awards in the United Kingdom, the Canadian Screen Awards in Canada and the AACTA Awards in Australia.
