Herbert Buckler (3 January 1878 — 23 January 1957 (aged 79)) birth registered in Pontypool district, was a Welsh professional rugby league footballer of the 1900s, playing at representative level for Other Nationalities, and at club level for Salford, as a second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums, his death was registered in Cardiff district.

Herbert Buckler won a cap playing Right-second-row, i.e. number 12 for Other Nationalities in the 9-3 victory over England at Central Park, Wigan on Tuesday 5 April 1904, in the first ever international rugby league match.
