Alper launched her blog, CallMeHannah.ca, when she was nine years old. She was the official eco-blogger for The JUNO Awards in 2013 and 2014. Alper is a finalist in the youth category (17 years-old and under) for the Nature Inspiration Awards, taking place at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa. She was recognized with a nomination in the Digi Awards for Best Content For Kids category, along with McDonald's and Family Channel.

Alper is a Huffington Post writer, and has given a TED talk on the topic "How to find your spark".
