Halime Hatun (Ottoman Turkish: حلیمه خاتون) was the, daughter of Mesud II, wife of Ertuğrul, and the mother of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire.

Biography

She was daughter of Mesud II, titular Sultan of Rum and ethnically an Oghuz Turk. She married Ertuğrul and gave birth to three sons, Osman I, Gündüz Alp and Savji Bey. The burial place of Halime Hatun is located in the garden of the Ertuğrul Gazi's grave in Söğüt.
