Hakea carinata is a shrub of the genus Hakea native to an area in the Mount Lofty Ranges in South Australia.

The erect shrub typically grows to a height of 1.5 to 3 metres (4.9 to 9.8 ft). The flexible leaves are flat and linear and concave or trigonous 5 to 24 centimetres (2 to 9 in) long and 1 to 12 millimetres (0.0 to 0.5 in) wide with prominent marginal veins.

It produces cream-white flowers from September to October.
