Gurinder Singh Mann is a Punjabi-American historian and professor of Sikh Studies. From 1999, he was a professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara. and is currently the director of the Global Institute for Sikh Studies, New York (established 2016).

Education
He did M.A. English from Baring Union Christian College, Batala, Punjab and then did a diploma in English Studies, CIEFL, Hyderabad, India. He then did M.A. English from the University of Kent at Canterbury, England. Later, he studied Master of Theological Studies at the Harvard University. He did Ph.D. in Religion from the Columbia University.
Career
He taught religion at Columbia University from 1988 to 1999 and then held Kundan Kaur Kapany Chair in Sikh Studies at the University of California from 1999 to 2015.
