In 2010, Kashia moved to The Netherlands and signed for Vitesse. Kashia was later joined by his two compatriots Valeri Kazaishvili and Giorgi Chanturia in Vitesse.

The success of Kashia with his new club led to some speculations towards the interest of numerous European teams in signing him. In 2013, he declared that some German, English and Russian clubs were interested in signing him, including Sunderland and Aston Villa. The agent of the player, former PSV Eindhoven and Twente midfielder Giorgi Gakhokidze later confirmed that R.S.C. Anderlecht were close to signing the Georgian, but the deal wasn't materialized. However, later Vitesse denied this.
