Gordon Cumming was a Scottish footballer who played for Reading between 1969 and 1977.

Career

Cumming was born on 23 January 1948 in Johnstone, Scotland. His primary position was as a winger. He scored 61 goals in 331 games. He took penalties until the arrival of Robin Friday and Alan Taylor in the side. He was Reading's player of the year in 1971–72. He played in the team that won Reading's first promotion for 50 years in 1976 going on to the Third Division.

Personal Life

Cumming retired from football in 1978 going on to open up a restaurant. Cumming is married to wife Christina and has two daughters, Susan and Amanda.
