Gloria Sevilla (born January 1, 1932) is a Filipina film actress. Sevilla is widely regarded as the "Queen of Visayan Movies" for her contributions in Visayan-made movies in the Philippines in the 1950s and 1960s.

Her first husband was Mat Ranillo Jr., a movie actor who died in a plane crash in 1969. They had six children. She got married the second time to Amado Cortez, a movie actor and director who also served as the country's ambassador to the U.S. until his death in 2003. They had one daughter.

She is the mother of actress Suzette Ranillo and Lilibeth Ranillo, actor Mat Ranillo III, and singer-composer Dandin Ranillo.

Trivia

  • In 1970, she was the first Filipino artist whose film merited an exhibition at the snooty Berlin International Film Festival. The movie was Badlis Sa Kinabuhi (Destiny).
  • In 1973, her film Gimingaw Ako (I Miss You) also notched a record as the first movie from the Philippines to be shown in Moscow International Film Festival in Russia.
  • In 1974, she and daughter Suzette Ranillo made history as the first real-life mother and daughter to win as Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress in the FAMAS Award for the movie Gimingaw Ako (I Miss You).
