Gerry Pennell OBE (born 1 July 1959) is a British IT Executive, formerly a director at Co-operative Financial Services, who studied Mathematics at The University of Manchester. Gerry Pennell was named as Chief Information Officer of the London Organising Committee of the Games (LOCOG) on 19 September 2008.

Contents

Previously, Mr Pennell was Director of Technology for the 17th Commonwealth Games held in Manchester 2002.

It was announced in 2013 that Pennell would take up the position of Director of IT at The University of Manchester in July of that year.

He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2013 New Year Honours.
