Personal
Marzorati was born in Paterson, New Jersey.
Career
Marzorati was the New York Times' assistant managing editor for new media and strategic initiatives. He began working here in 1994 and ended in 2001. Prior to working for The Times, Marzorati worked as an editor at the New Yorker and Harper's Magazine.
Books
He is also the writer of A Painter of Darkness, a book about Leon Golub. For the book, he received the PEN/Martha Albrand Award for First Nonfiction in 1991.
