Prestigious Awards for Non Resident Keralites of India

It was in 2003 that Garshom instituted the Garshom Awards ഗർഷോം പുരസ്‌കാരം. The word "Garshom" means Pravasi – One who is away from his motherland. Garshom, a media company for Non Resident Keralites (NRKs), was also to recognise the contribution of the global community of Non Resident Keralites, to the society they are currently part of, the nation they had the privilege to be born to, and to Kerala, their motherland in particular. Till now 11 Garshom Award presentation ceremonies have been held in Bangalore 2003, 2004, 2010, New Delhi 2005, Trivandrum 2006, Hyderabad 2007, Chennai 2009, Kuwait 2011, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2012, Bangalore 2015 and Malacca, Malaysia 2016.
