Garra gotyla is a species of ray-finned fish in the cyprinid family from freshwater in South Asia.

There are two subspecies, which are regarded as separate species by some authorities (e.g., the IUCN):

  • Garra gotyla gotyla (Gray, 1830)Sucker Head. Relatively widespread in South Asia, and reaches a length of 14.5 cm (5.7 in).
  • Garra gotyla stenorhynchus Jerdon, 1849Nilgiris Garra. Found in the Western Ghats in India, and reaches a length of 15.5 cm (6.1 in).
