Amateur career
Rosado's amateur record was 8–3.
Light Middleweight

Rosado's career did not begin auspiciously, winning five bouts before losing to Chris Gray (who bore a record of three wins with two losses), following up that loss with another win before similarly losing to an unheralded Joshua Onyango, who had a losing record of twelve wins with thirteen losses. Rosado would bounce back with four more victories before dropping an eight round decision to future contender Fernando Guerrero. Two more victories would follow, including a split decision victory over former IBF light-middleweight champion Kassim Ouma, before suffering a second round knockout defeat to contender Alfredo Angulo. Rosado rebounded with wins against Latif Munday and Saul Roman before losing a majority decision to Derek Ennis for the USBA light-middleweight title. Rosado would go on to win his next seven bouts, including a stoppage over Jesus Soto Karass.
Rosado vs. Golovkin

Rosado moved up six pounds in weight to challenge WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin for his title. Rosado put on a spirited effort, and managed to avoid being dropped despite suffering severe punishment from Golovkin. Rosado suffered a cut early in the fight that only worsened as the bout progressed. The fight was stopped at round seven, when Golovkin was upping his offense and Rosado appeared to be only looking to survive.
Rosado's next fight was against contender J'Leon Love. Despite knocking Love down in the sixth, Rosado would lose a close split decision, one that most observers felt he had gotten melted. After the fight it was revealed that Love had used the banned diuretic Hydrochlorothiazide. The fight was subsequently changed to a no-contest.
Rosado vs. Quillin

Rosado's following fight would be against WBO middleweight champion Peter Quillin. Quillin began the fight well, knocking Rosado down in the second round, but Rosado slowly began to come back into the fight. By the ninth Rosado was visibly hurting Quillin with hard shots to the head, but a cut opened up over Rosado's eye, and the referee subsequently stopped the fight in the tenth round.
On January 25, 2014, Rosado would drop back down to light-middleweight to face undefeated prospect Jermell Charlo. Charlo easily outboxed Rosado, and was awarded a wide unanimous decision.
Temporary Move to BKB
Despite being shut out against Charlo, Rosado was offered the chance to face middleweight and super middleweight contender Brian Vera in a title match for the inaugural Big Knockout Boxing (BKB) middleweight championship. The fight took place on August 16, 2014. Rosado defeated Vera by sixth round TKO and won the title.
Rosado vs. Lemieux
Following his victory over Vera, Rosado was paired against hard-punching Canadian middleweight contender David Lemieux. The bout took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on December 6, 2014. The bout was a mostly one-sided affair, with Lemieux dropping Rosado in the third round and swelling his eye shut early. The referee would stop the fight in the tenth round when it became evident Rosado could not see nor anticipate Lemieux's shots. Upon losing this bout, this will make Rosado's fifth consecutive loss (although Rosado's controversial loss against Love was subsequently ruled a no-decision after Love tested positive for a banned substance).
Return to BKB
On April 4, 2015, Rosado defended his BKB middleweight title against middleweight contender Curtis Stevens. The bout itself was mostly a lackluster affair, with Rosado attempting to control the outside with his jab while Stevens only appeared interested in landing one big left hook to end things quickly. Stevens dropped Rosado briefly in the fifth, but Rosado recovered quickly. The fight was declared a majority draw.
Professional titles
Filmography
Rosado appeared in the boxing film Creed (2015), starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone.
