Was Best Speaker and Best Essayist in certain years among College and University Students of Kerala; joined C.P.I.(M) in 1967; became Joint Secretary of K.S.F; Office Bearer of K.S.Y.F. at State Level and District Level at Alappuzha and Kollam; Founder Member, First State President, General Secretary, All India Vice-President and one of the first members of the Central Executive Committee of S.F.I.; Member, Kerala University Syndicate for 12 years, C.P.I.(M) State Committee, C.I.T.U. G.Sudhakaran is born as son of P. Gopalakurup (deceased) and Smt L. Pankajakshi Amma at Vedaraplavu Thamarakulam Village, Mavelikkara, Alappuzha; he graduated in M.A. followed bt LLB.Sudhakaran got married to Dr.Jubilee Navaprabha. He has two children. His siblings included an elder brother named Vijayan (deceased), two younger brothers named Bhuvaneswaran (deceased) and Madhu and a younger sister named Thulasi.
