Furman Leon "Fitz" Nuss (February 2, 1895 – February 5, 1986) was an American football coach in the United States. He graduated from Washington & Jefferson College in 1917.

Coaching career

Nuss was the head college football coach for the Alderson–Broaddus Battlers located in Philippi, West Virginia. He held that position for the 1924 season. His coaching record at Alderson–Broaddus was 3 wins, 4 losses and 2 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2012 season, this ranks him #5 at Alderson–Broaddus in total wins and #3 at the school in winning percentage (.444).

Later life

In his later life, he operated a tire shop and worked in the gas drilling industry. He died in 1986 at the age of 91.
