From Scratch are a New Zealand performance and recording group that use homemade (from scratch) rhythms and instruments. They performed from 1972 to 2002 with an ever-changing lineup, though principally led by Philip Dadson. Their last work was the piece Pacific Plate, performed in New Zealand, Austria and Australia between 2000 and 2002.
