Fred catero and justine the annex recording studios
Fred Catero is an American record producer and engineer. Originally from New York City, where he worked for CBS Records/Columbia, in the mid-1960s Catero moved to San Francisco to work for Columbia Records there. In San Francisco Catero worked on many albums by top artists, including Bob Dylan, Al Kooper and Santana. Many of his records were done at famed studio the Automatt. In the 1980s he started an independent label Catero Records to focus on jazz artists. Artists on Catero Records included Herbie Hancock, Ernie Mansfield, Laurie Antonioli, Cyrille Verdeaux, The Rhyth-o-matics, and Paul Speer.
