Franz Jackson (November 1, 1912 – May 6, 2008) was a saxophonist and clarinetist of the Chicago jazz school.

Jackson played and composed for such musicians as Fletcher Henderson, Roy Eldridge, Benny Goodman and Cab Calloway.

Notable as one of the last surviving jazz artists to have recorded pre-1940, Jackson was still active well into his 90s in various Chicago jazz clubs (including "Joe's Bebop Café", and Andy's Jazz Club). In 1996, he received the Jazz Master Award from Arts Midwest.

He died on May 6, 2008, aged 95, after having moved to Dowagiac, Michigan in 1975, and is survived by his son and daughter.
