Frank Youso: Football Offensive Tackle
Frank Michael Youso (born July 5, 1936 in International Falls, Minnesota) is a former American college and professional football offensive tackle. In 2012, he published New York Sleeping Giant: My Life and Pro Football, the story of his life as told to his son, Shawn Youso. The book's title is the nickname given to Youso by Vince Lombardi in 1958, when he was a rookie with the Giants.

Professional football career
Youso played college football at the University of Minnesota and professionally between 1958 and 1965, starting with the NFL New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings and moving to the new American Football League's Oakland Raiders in 1964. He was the first player to sign with the Vikings when the franchise was created, having been released by the Giants so he could play in his home state of Minnesota.
