The Fourche River is a minor tributary of the Black River located in Northeast Arkansas and ending in Randolph County, Arkansas near Pocahontas, where it enters the Black River. The Fourche River flows for 32.4 miles (52.1 km) in Missouri and Arkansas. The Fourche River is often confused with the Fourche La Fave River that joins the Arkansas River near Bigelow, Arkansas and is also often confused with Fourche Creek south of Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Fourche River was first called Little Creek and is known as a good fishing stream.

The Fourche River flows for 32.4 miles (52.1 km), with a maximum elevation of 735 feet (224 m) and a minimum elevation of 249 feet (76 m), and drains a watershed of 119.31 square miles (309.0 km2).
