Biography

Ferike Boros was born as Ferike Weinstock on the 2nd of August 1880 in Nagyvárad, Austria-Hungary [now Oradea, Romania]. According to Bill Takacs she was on stage from 1900. She moved to London in 1903, two years later appearing at Covent Garden. In New York by 1909, she had a brief career on Broadway, spanning the years 1911 to 1927, thereafter seen in small film roles. Although her film roles are mostly as supporting role, she played in movies like Once upon a Honeymoon or A Tree Grows in Brooklyn important characters to the plot. She died in Los Angeles, Hollywood, California, USA on 16 January 1951 aged 70.
